Join us to hear updates and ask questions about the North Berkeley BART station development.
As a follow up to the introductory meeting held in November 2022, the City of Berkeley is hosting a community meeting in February with the team selected to develop the North Berkeley BART station. The team approved by the BART Board on December 1, 2022 is comprised of BRIDGE Housing, East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), Berkeley Food & Housing Project, and AvalonBay Communities.
At this community meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Hear updates about the process and framework for preparing Objective Design Standards;
- Meet the development team and hear about their preliminary concept; and
- Ask questions of the team in small group breakout sessions.
This meeting on February 16 is a virtual meeting conducted over Zoom. The City is also hosting an in-person meeting on February 15. Both meetings will provide the same information and the same opportunities for questions and feedback. To provide time for as wide a range of community participation as possible, community members are requested to attend only one of the two evenings.
The City will use feedback from this meeting to inform draft Objective Design Standards for community review and discussion at a third community meeting, anticipated to be held in Spring 2023.
