The City of Berkeley is improving bus stops and pedestrian crossings on University Ave at Bonar St and Acton St. The University West Bus Stops project includes installation of corner sidewalk extensions (”bulb-outs”), sidewalk and curb ramps to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities, new bus shelters with seating and lighting, repainted crosswalks, and upgraded traffic lights with push-buttons for pedestrians to activate the traffic signals.
