The Berkeley Police Department is proud to express our support for the LGBTQ+ in our community and within our Department.
Across our nation, June is officially recognized as national LGBTQ+ Pride month, a time to recognize and support the LGBTQ+ community. The Berkeley Police Department will always stand with and support the LGBTQ+ community, including those members who are part of our Department. We hold as a core value celebrating and safeguarding our diverse community, treating all people with dignity and respect.
For Pride month you will see the Pride flag in our lobby, to convey our Department’s support of, and service to, our LGBTQ+ community. Berkeley PD employees are authorized to wear a Pride lapel pin, either on their uniform, or their plainclothes wear. You’ll also see posts on our social media recognizing Pride month, and showcasing our members as they celebrate Pride month.
The Berkeley Police Department is proud to continue to express our support for the LGBTQ+ in our community and within our Department.
