Fill out Vision 2050 Survey by January 12
Berkeley, California (Thursday, December 16, 2021) - Fill out our survey to help guide how we prioritize and fund improvements to the City's streets, sidewalks, rec centers and other infrastructure needs.
Even though we've paved new roads, renovated many community buildings and revamped a number of parks, much more needs to be done to address the $1 billion needed of infrastructure repair throughout the City.
Let us know what repairs are your priority. Give input on what you think of funding infrastructure needs through a ballot measure. Share ideas on what equity in infrastructure means.

Please share widely among any who live in Berkeley. The more people that fill out the survey, the more voices will inform the City's path.
Vision 2050: Creating More Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure in Berkeley
This effort is part of a voter-approved measure in 2018 to develop a 30-year-plan for infrastructure that is both sustainable and resilient, incorporating climate action. This plan - known as Vision 2050 - is driven by core values of equity, public health and safety, a strong local economy, resiliency and sustainability.
Much of Berkeley's infrastructure was built over 75 years ago and need repair. However, City revenues have not kept pace with the rapid decline in our aging infrastructure or the growing need for investments in sustainability and affordable housing.
Additional funding and community input is needed. City staff are engaging with community groups across Berkeley to gain input on our most urgent issues and suggestions on how to fund potential projects.
Please share the Vision 2050 survey with friends, neighbors, family and anyone you know who lives in Berkeley. The more feedback we collect, the better we will be able to create a plan that is representative of community needs and that distributes improvements and benefits equitably.
