Aquatic Park Paddling & Rowing Club Improvements Project

The City of Berkeley is soliciting invitations for bid for improvements to Aquatic Park Paddling & Rowing Club. The work done under these Plans and Specifications includes but is not limited to: mobilization, traffic control, public convenience, construction phasing, erosion control, clearing, grubbing, tree protection, root pruning, excavating and pulverizing an existing asphalt concrete parking lot, minor concrete building pad and ADA parking spot, asphalt concrete with stabilized base, porous flexible paver parking area, minor header board wall, importing topsoil for conform area, striping, parking markings, installing accessible parking sign, adjusting a quick-coupling valve box, salvaging and reinstalling wood wheel stops, header at AC and porous flexible paver, while maintaining access and public use of the Paddling and Rowing Club Boathouse and dock, as specified.

Base Bid Items Cost: $327,400

The specifications and selection process are summarized in this invitation for bid (IFB). Bids must be received no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday February 2, 2023. All responses must be in a sealed envelope and have “Aquatic Park Paddling & Rowing Club Improvements Project” and “Specification No. 22-11514-C” clearly marked on the outer most mailing envelope. Please submit one (1) unbound original and one (1) copy of the bid as follows:

No bids will be accepted after the date and time stated above. Submittal of response by fax is NOT acceptable. Incomplete bids and bids which do not conform to the requirements specified herein, will not be considered. Issuance of the IFB does not obligate the City to award a contract, nor is the City liable for any costs incurred by the bidder in the preparation and submittal of bids for the subject work. The City retains the right to award all or parts of this contract to several bidders, to not select any bidders, and/or to re-solicit proposals. The act of submitting a bid is a declaration that the bidder has read the IFB and understands all the requirements and conditions.
