The City of Berkeley is soliciting invitations for bid for the purchase and installation of floating dock sections and repair work in the Berkeley Marina. The specifications and selection process are summarized in this invitation for bid (IFB). Bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. All responses must be in a sealed envelope and have “Marina Dock Construction” and “Specification No. 22-11515-C” clearly marked on the outer most mailing envelope. Please submit one (1) unbound original and one (1) copy of the bid as follows:

No bids will be accepted after the date and time stated above. Submittal of Response by fax is NOT acceptable. Incomplete bids and bids which do not conform to the requirements specified herein, will not be considered. Issuance of the IFB does not obligate the City to award a contract, nor is the City liable for any costs incurred by the bidder in the preparation and submittal of bids for the subject work. The City retains the right to award all or parts of this contract to several bidders, to not select any bidders, and/or to re-solicit proposals. The act of submitting a bid is a declaration that the bidder has read the IFB and understands all the requirements and conditions. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit at the Berkeley Marina on May 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. The location is 201 University Avenue, meet at the Marina offices.

Answers to questions will not be provided by telephone or email. Rather, answers to all questions or any addenda will be posted on the City of Berkeley’s site at Bid & Proposal Opportunities | City of Berkeley (berkeleyca.gov).
