Daily counts of COVID cases, hospitalizations, and deaths

Data: COVID-19 Confirmed Cases on City of Berkeley Open Data Portal
The distribution of confirmed COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths by age and race/ethnicity reveals significant disparities across groups. Rates of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths for those that identify as ‘other’ race/ethnicity or whose race/ethnicity is unknown are not shown in the visuals but are included in the total case, hospitalization, and death rates. Hospitalization and death rates are not shown in these breakdowns due to low hospital and death counts. After 7/24/2023, the City of Berkeley transitioned to using death certificate data to flag COVID-19 deaths. The change in death counts is due to death reconciliation and data cleaning.
