Testing Data

Discover more about the overall test counts and test positivity throughout the pandemic.

Testing counts and percent positivity

Disclaimer: The City of Berkeley and Alameda County (minus Berkeley) are separate local health jurisdictions (LHJs). The City of Berkeley now includes antigen tests on the test page as of 1/9/23. If a person is tested more than once for COVID-19 on different days, these tests will be counted as separate tests. The number of positive tests will be larger than the number of confirmed cases because people may be tested for COVID-19 more than once on different days. The City of Berkeley excludes at-home tests, manually entered tests, and reported cases without laboratory confirmation. The test positivity may fluctuate as a result of the number of tests reported and/or biased testing (some people are more likely to test).
