This dashboard is populated with data from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), the State's electronic immunization information system, and data received from University Health Services (UHS) for UCB students/staff.
Due to known issues with CAIR data reporting and population estimates, percentages of people vaccinated are only reported up to 97.5%. Vaccines, where the race/ethnicity is unknown, are not shown on the visual “Vaccine doses by race/ethnicity (% of the total population).” Booster doses are classified as both additional doses and booster doses after the date of 8/12/2021. The % completed primary series and boosters use a denominator of the primary series population. The % boosted of the total population includes people not eligible for a booster and uses a denominator of Berkeley's total population. Up-to-date estimates the percentage of Berkeley residents who have received all COVID-19 doses they are eligible for. Effective April 18, 2023, bivalent vaccines are authorized to be used for all doses for individuals 6 months of age and older. The % of the total population with a bivalent booster is based on the individual’s first bivalent booster dose. The up-to-date percentage includes the percentage of individuals that have received all recommended doses for which they are eligible.
