Community Resilience Centers
Berkeley organizations working with underserved communities can apply to receive training and supplies to serve as community disaster hubs.
The Community Resilience Center (CRC) program is currently on hold. Our webpages will be updated as we are able to resume programs. We encourage individuals to continue preparing for disaster with their households.
If you are a community organization in Berkeley, you can apply to become a Community Resilience Center (CRC).
Becoming a Community Resilience Center
We select CRC organizations based on their connection to Berkeley community members who have not been reached by existing City programs. If your organization is interested in becoming a CRC, review the process below and contact us at oes@cityofberkeley.info or (510) 981-5605.
CRC organizations agree to host trainings and participate in disaster preparedness events customized for their audiences. In return for hosting training, we provide a cache of emergency supplies to help organizations serve their community, acting as hubs for assistance and information during and after disasters.
