Buckets, bags, and gloves will be available for volunteers. If you are able, please help us to reduce the plastic waste by bringing your own supplies:
- Bring a bucket or reusable bag
- Bring a lightweight pair of gardening gloves
- Bring a filled, reusable water bottle
Participants can register online or in person day of the event. All participants must complete a waiver. Youth under 18 must have a waiver completed by their legal guardian.
Register Your Group Online
Organized groups (such as student organizations, service clubs, local businesses, scouting troops, etc.) may also register online. Please email Sammi at naturecenter@berkeleyCA.gov with your group information. Please direct individual participants to register themselves for the event. At checkout, mark “YES” when asked if you are a part of an organized group. The next prompt will allow volunteers to list the name of their group.
Plan your transportation to the Waterfront
Please consider taking a car-free route to the waterfront. Ride your bike along the Bay Trail and use free bike valet parking, located behind Adventure Playground. Alternatively, use a shared bike or scooter, AC Transit, or carpool with friends.
If you drive, please note that the South Cove West parking lot (directly behind Cal Sailing Club and Cal Adventures) will be closed for construction. Please do not park in the nearby L & M lots which require permits on weekends. Parking will be available in the South Cove East (east of Cal Adventures) and the former Hs Lordships lots. Please check back for the most up-to-date parking information.
Free 4-hour day slips are available for boaters visiting the Waterfront. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To check availability, contact the Berkeley Marina Office at (510) 981-6740 or marina@berkeleyca.gov.
