Bateman Mall Park is a neighborhood green space for families and young children. Enclosed by a low fence with two entrances, the park features a tot-friendly play structure with a slide, a ladder, climbing boulders, and a wood chip-filled sandbox.
Kids can ride scooters or bikes along a small, paved path while adults relax at picnic tables shaded by mature trees. Families often gather here for low-key lunches or birthday celebrations on the grassy lawn.
The park is wheelchair accessible and has a water fountain, but no restrooms. Street parking is limited on Colby Street, so most visitors park on nearby Prince or Regent streets. AC Transit serves the area, and dogs are welcome on leash.
