Contra Costa Rock Park is a small neighborhood park featuring a large natural rock formation in North Berkeley. The rock outcrop provides a unique landscape for climbing, scrambling, and exploring, making it a popular spot for children and rock enthusiasts.
A short walk of about 20-30 steps leads to the top of the rock, where visitors can enjoy a different perspective of the park. A low-hanging tree adds to the adventure, creating a playful passage to the top. However, the uneven and gravel surfaces may be challenging for those with mobility concerns.
Shaded areas and open green space offer a relaxing setting for visitors looking to enjoy a quiet moment outdoors. Benches and natural seating areas provide spots to sit and take in the surroundings.
