It's an incredible privilege to serve Berkeley as Councilmember for District 5, representing the neighborhoods where I grew up and have raised my own family.
Over the past few years, we've made important progress addressing affordable housing, homelessness, climate change, and other pressing environmental issues. Now our community is being challenged like never before.
As we come together to move through COVID-19, protect against smoke and fires, and address deep inequities in our society, we continue to uphold our Berkeley values, acting decisively for the well-being of every member of our community, and ensuring support for those with the greatest needs. These values, of caring for all with a strong focus on equity, guide my work for Berkeley.
