WHAT'S HAPPENING
Marin Avenue is an east-west collector street in Berkeley that provides connections to the Berkeley Hills. The Marin Avenue Corridor Safety Project seeks to enhance safety for all users along Marin Avenue between Shattuck Avenue to Keeler Avenue.
Project improvements include enhanced pedestrian crossings, hardened centerlines, new stop signs, striping improvements, and painted curb extensions.
- Increase pedestrian visibility through upgraded high-visibility crosswalks, painted curb extensions, and clearer lane designations, including refreshed yellow centerline markings.
- Increase driver awareness with road markings, signage, lane demarcations, hardened centerlines, and midblock lane striping.

To ensure community engagement, the City will be providing multiple opportunities to learn about the project and share feedback:
