Join us for a virtual information session about Berkeley's new affordable housing preferences.
Berkeley's new Affordable Housing Preference Policy gives people who have lost or are at risk of losing housing in Berkeley priority when new units become available. Priority for affordable housing lotteries will be given to households displaced from Berkeley due to BART construction, foreclosure, or eviction; as well as those who have connections to redlined neighborhoods, are homeless or at risk of homelessness, or have a child 17 years old or younger.
Join our online info session to learn more about how affordable housing preferences can give qualifying applicants a priority in the housing lottery for Maudelle Miller Shirek Community (applications open January 29-February 12). Participants can expect a presentation explaining the City of Berkeley’s Housing Preference Policy and will have the opportunity to ask questions.
