Join the the Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department to celebrate California Arbor Week at the Westside of Aquatic Park. Come work with staff to plant 200 trees and large shrubs. These new plants will help to add habitat, clean the air, and add a green screen to the interstate.
Event Schedule
- 9:15 AM: Check-In (There is a short walk from the South Lot to the check-in area. See map for reference)
- 9:30 AM: Welcome & Announcements, Safety Meeting, Tree Planting Demonstration and Instruction, Group/Work Assignments, Tool Handout
- 10:00 AM: The planting begins!
- 11:30 AM: Lunch

Parking
- We will have staff directing parking outside of the park at the south entrance.
- Bike racks will be available at the event check-in area.
