Celebrate Earth Day at the Berkeley Marina. Enjoy live music, food, and activities for all ages.
Join us at the Berkeley Marina on Saturday, April 22 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for the Berkeley Bay Festival and Earth Day Celebration. Connect with the Bay and our local community through live music, performers, food, hands-on educational activities and free boat rides.
This free family-focused event celebrates the Bay, its local wildlife, and the people and agencies dedicated to its protection. Over 30 environmental and wildlife conservation organizations from around the Bay will share their exhibits with the public.
The event takes place at the beautiful Shorebird Park in front of the Shorebird Nature Center. The Nature Center building is an example of environmentalism in action, with its sustainable straw-bale architecture and its marine conservation and education programs.
Music and entertainment includes:
- 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm - Motor Dude Zydeco, fast-paced Louisiana-style dance band
- 1:25 pm – 2:25 pm - Aguacero, Puerto Rican folkloric vocal, drum and dance troupe
- 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm - Bug Family Band, music for children and families
Food from Curbside Kitchen, Royal Egyptian, Tacos El Rey, and Nissa Expresso and Gelato Bar.
