Your voices are needed on November 28 and December 2!
The City is competing for a new State Outdoor Equity Grant in December of 2023.
We need your help to design the best outdoor program in the State for Berkeley residents who want outdoor adventures.
The new funding can cover great new trips like tent-camping near Yosemite, ferry trips to Angel Island, a night-time paddle through the bioluminescent waters of Point Reyes, kayaking, trail hiking, trips to beaches and lakes, nature viewing, and a lot more.
Come and share your ideas for outdoor adventures you'd like to see!
Choose from two Brainstorm Meetings:
Tuesday, November 28, 2023 @ 6am-7pm
Saturday, December 2*, 2023 @ 10am-1pm*
Refreshments included at both Brainstorm Meetings
*The December 2 Brainstorm Meeting will be part of the Tots Winter Carnival
For more information, call the Berkeley Recreation Office at (510) 981-6740 and ask about the Outdoor Equity Project.
This brainstorm meeting is an important step. We get it that outdoor adventures can be expensive. This new funding will help the City of Berkeley expand our Fresh Adventures program to provide more trips and serve more people. We value your feedback and input, and look forward to continued collaboration.
