Take a deep dive into the first steps that will help prepare you and your family to handle any disaster in the Bay Area and Berkeley.
Understand the types of disasters that can happen in Berkeley, such as wildfires, earthquakes, and tsunamis. Learn how to be prepared before an event happens by:
- Learning the first steps you will need to prepare for an emergency
- Getting help making a disaster plan for your family and community
- Practicing your emergency responses with others
- Organizing others into teams based on organizational structure for incidents
This is the first class in a seven-unit series. Each class will give you hands-on experience in dealing with disasters that can impact Berkeley. Learn more about Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and follow our Eventbrite page to receive updates for new classes.
