Berkeley homeowners can sign up for a chance at a $3,000 rebate for seismic upgrades to your home's foundation.

Homeowners who live in select ZIP codes (including Berkeley zip codes), with homes that have certain characteristics, may be eligible for a rebate of up to $3,000 to help pay for a seismic retrofit of their house. Income-qualified homeowners may qualify for a supplemental grant to cover up to 100% of costs.
To enter a lottery for the $3000 rebate and supplemental grant, property owners must register online with the Earthquake Brace & Bolt program or call (877) 232-4300 between October 18 and November 29, 2022.
