
Planning for disasters and emergencies often takes time and resources that aren’t currently available and often out of reach. Not taking the time to upgrade your safety equipment, document your work or other safeguarding activities could result in harsher circumstances to recover from following a disaster. This session will cover tactics to identify areas of opportunity, research funding options, and organize a plan. Attendees will also receive access to a suite of resources and information.
The sessions will cover the following areas:
- Needs assessment – participants will identify their greatest resource need for their artistic practice.
- Navigating local vs national resources – understand the key differences and similarities between local and national resources and how to search for opportunities.
- Make a plan – sketch out key timelines, deliverables, and resources needs to apply for support. Learn important tips to creating a successful application.
- Resources – participants will receive an overview of emergency relief funding resources available to them.
