Flu season is here! Protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community by getting a free flu shot. Join us on Wednesday, September 16th at the Berkeley Public Library!
The first and best way to protect against flu is to get a flu vaccine. Everyone 6 months and older should receive a flu shot every year. Our free vaccination pop-up is a quick and easy way to avoid getting sick this flu season. No appointment needed, and no ID or health insurance required.
Getting the flu vaccine helps protect children and people with compromised immune systems. Children younger than 5 years old have a greater chance of having problems with the flu, especially those with a long-term condition such as asthma and diabetes. People who have a chronic disease are also more likely to have severe problems if they get the flu.
Can’t make it to the pop-up? Flu vaccines are also available during regular vaccination clinic hours at the West Berkeley Family Wellness Center. For more information, please visit Vaccination Services.
A healthy community is a happy community!
