Vaccination Services
The City of Berkeley provides free vaccination services through our Immunization program at the West Berkeley Family Wellness Center. Vaccines can help protect yourself, your family, and your community from severe illness.

To help ensure timely service, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance. Please be aware that walk-in visitors may experience a wait time depending on service demand and staff availability. Walk-in services are available during the following times:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: 9:00 am–12:00 pm, 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
Languages spoken: English and Spanish; interpreter services available for other languages.
Services
- We partner with local skilled nursing facilities and schools to help make sure everyone stays up to date on required immunizations.
- We provide free vaccinations for community members who qualify.
- During peak respiratory virus season, we bring care directly to neighborhoods through our mobile vaccination clinics.
- We offer easy-to-understand vaccination education and outreach to help families and community members make informed health decisions.
Eligibility
All Berkeley residents, regardless of insurance status, are eligible for free Seasonal Influenza (flu) vaccines. Please call to confirm availability.
Berkeley residents who are uninsured or underinsured may qualify for free vaccinations at the Vaccination Clinic. See below for eligibility details based on age and insurance status:
- Children (0-18 years old): Medicaid-eligible, Uninsured, Underinsured (insurance does not cover vaccines), or American Indian or Alaska Native.
- Adults (19+ years old): Uninsured, Underinsured (insurance does not cover vaccines)

Recommended Vaccines by Age
Vaccines protect Berkeley residents of all ages from serious illness. The City of Berkeley Vaccination Clinic follows the vaccination schedule recommended by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), which is based on guidance from trusted medical professional organizations.

If you are unsure whether you or your child is up to date, the City of Berkeley Vaccination Clinic can help review records and provide recommended vaccines. You can get a digital copy of your immunization record from the Digital Vaccine Record Portal.
To request copies of your medical records, please call (510) 981-5350 or email phmailbox@berkeleyca.gov. You will need to complete the Authorization for Use or Disclosure of Health Information as part of the request process.
