Come join us for a free, fun-filled family event celebrating World Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding Week on August 7 at George Florence Park! Bring your blankets and your loved ones!
Hosted by the City of Berkeley's WIC program, we'll have activities and resources to support moms and healthy, thriving families.
This year's World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) theme this year is “Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems" focusing on how breastfeeding can build long-term, sustainable support systems that make breastfeeding accessible for all families.
The event will host an “Ask the WIC Lactation Consultant” booth, and health fair which includes many tables from a range of community partners. Each health resource table will bring a free healthy food item to share with the participants. There will be music, dancing, children’s activities and more!
Where: George Florence Park, 2121 Tenth St., Berkeley, CA
When: Friday, August 7, from 1:00pm-3:00pm
