Berkeley, California (Sunday, September 27, 2020) - In the early morning of 9/27/20, around 12:45 a.m., Berkeley Police received reports of a woman screaming in the 2400 block of Warring Street. Officers responded and located a victim who reported she was attacked in her apartment by an unknown male suspect. The suspect threatened the woman with a handgun. The victim resisted the suspect, who struck her several times with an object before fleeing. The victim received significant but non-life threatening injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The suspect was described as a black male, unknown age, 5’09” to 6’00” tall, broad shoulders with a muscular build. The suspect was armed with a handgun.
