Berkeley, California (Tuesday, May 12, 2020) - On the evening of November 29th 2009, an unknown suspect punched, sexually assaulted and robbed a woman in the area of Sacramento Street and Parker Street (Case 2009-00069224).
On the evening of June 22nd 2012, an unknown suspect kidnapped a woman at knife-point from the area of San Pablo Avenue and Grayson Street and sexually assaulted the woman in a nearby parking lot (BPD Case 2012-00033168).
During the investigation of both incidents, DNA evidence was collected from both victims.
After further investigation of the sexual assaults, the suspect was identified as Stevon Williams II (Male, 44 years old, no address) and detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On May 8th 2020, the San Francisco Police Department located the suspect sleeping in a tent in the area of King Street and 4th Street (San Francisco, CA) and turned him over to Berkeley PD.
On May 11th, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged the suspect with two counts of PC 287(c)(2)(A)—Forced oral copulation, PC 286(c)(2)—Sodomy by force, two counts of PC 211—Robbery, PC 261(a)(2)—Rape by force as well as several criminal enhancements for committing a kidnapping for rape and for committing a crime with a weapon.
