Spend Friday nights in Berkeley parks this summer watching free outdoor movies with friends, neighbors, and family.
Head to Berkeley parks on select Friday evenings this summer to watch free outdoor movies alongside Berkeleyans of all ages.
The free Movies in the Park series runs through August with screenings in parks from south Berkeley to the hills. Bring blankets, sleeping bags, or low beach chairs. Settle in for movies on a 20-foot-by-12-foot inflatable screen with premium audio-visual equipment.
This year’s lineup has something for everyone: musicals, animated adventures, family favorites, and action films. You’ll see films like The Color Purple, Jurassic World Rebirth, Smurfs, GOAT, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants.
Invite your friends, meet up with neighbors, and enjoy a night out in Berkeley’s parks. The first movie is Wicked: For Good on Friday, June 12, at Strawberry Creek Park.

Some parks may have limited street parking nearby. Walking, biking, carpooling, public transit, and shared bikes or scooters can make getting there easier. If you do drive, please don’t block driveways.
