Berkeley Day Camp
Berkeley Day Camp is a summer camp for children 5-13 years old that takes place in Shorebird Park (Berkeley Waterfront). Register your child for a fun and exciting outdoor summer camp experience.
Berkeley Day Camp is one of the best traditional outdoor day camps in the Bay Area. It is a fun, engaging and exciting experience as campers explore shoreline habitats, canoe, make arts and crafts and play at the acclaimed Adventure Playground and go on special adventures. Many of our former campers are now part of our awesome team of staff, providing a safe environment for children to spend their summer days at play.
Location: Shorebird Park, 160 University Avenue
Program times:
- Core program (9:00 am – 3:30 pm)
- AM extended care program (7:30 am – 9:00 am)
- PM extended care program (3:30 pm – 6:00 pm)

Grades: Entering 9th-10th
The Berkeley Day Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program combines the fun of Berkeley Day Camp while building practical skills and confidence to help Teens grow and prepare for their road ahead. Under the guidance of mentoring staff, teens will have the unique opportunity to experience what being a summer camp counselor is all about. CIT’s will participate in the planning and facilitation of a variety of summer activities while also learning group facilitation, mediation, leadership and professional skills that will carry them to other parts of their lives. Teens will build self-esteem, skills and receive valuable on the job training, all while having fun. No extended care available.
Scholarships

Parents and guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up their children at the camp location each day.
