The MLK Jr. Youth Services Center offers meaningful recreation experiences that include tutoring, violence prevention, and leadership development components for teens. Through various programs, such as Afterschool/Summer Achievers, Justice in Action, From Boys to Men, Young Divas, Leadership & Life Academy as well as various service projects and special events, teens are given the opportunity to improve their academics, gain valuable service learning experience, make new friends, go on field trips and enjoy exciting recreation activities.
This facility is also home to the City of Berkeley Boxing and Teen Programs, as well as the Berkeley Youth Commission.

Adult Basketball
Practice your basketball skills and play in a friendly environment for all skill levels. Equipment will be provided.

MLK Jr. Youth Services Center Features
The MLK Jr. Youth Services Center features a gymnasium and meeting rooms that can be reserved and rented by community members. Rental fees vary by room, day of week, and residency status. Please call (510) 981-6670 for more information. This site also has a computer lab, kitchen, as well as outdoor picnic and recreational space.
