Cragmont Rock Park rises out of the Berkeley Hills with dramatic outcrops that invite both bouldering and technical climbing. Routes of varying difficulty make it a spot for beginners learning techniques as well as experienced climbers seeking a challenge.
Switchback trails wind through trees and lead down to the base of the rock, where shaded areas give relief on warm days. At the summit, the covered gazebo frames views of the San Francisco Bay and provides a sheltered place to gather.
Open lawns spread across the hillside, some sunny and some shaded, creating space for picnics, casual games, or simply stretching out on the grass. A single basketball hoop near the picnic area adds a place for informal play. Leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park.
