The City of Berkeley is soliciting invitations for bid for painting and repair at 125 and 127 University and other buildings managed by Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront. The specifications and selection process are summarized in this invitation for bid (IFB). Bids must be received no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2023. All responses must be in a sealed envelope and have “Painting and Repair at 125/127 University and Other PRW Buildings” and “Specification No. 23-11593” clearly marked on the outer most mailing envelope. Please submit one (1) unbound original and one (1) copy of the bid as follows:

No bids will be accepted after the date and time stated above. Submittal of Response by fax is NOT acceptable. Incomplete bids and bids which do not conform to the requirements specified herein, will not be considered. Issuance of the IFB does not obligate the City to award a contract, nor is the City liable for any costs incurred by the bidder in the preparation and submittal of bids for the subject work. The City retains the right to award all or parts of this contract to several bidders, to not select any bidders, and/or to re-solicit proposals. The act of submitting a bid is a declaration that the bidder has read the IFB and understands all the requirements and conditions.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required and will be held on-site Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:30 am. The meeting location will be at the east parking lot side of 125 University Ave. Please RSVP via email wvandernald@cityofberkeley.info by Friday, March 17, 2023. Answers to questions will not be provided by telephone or email. Rather, answers to all questions or any addenda will be posted on the City of Berkeley’s site at Bid & Proposal Opportunities.
