PROJECT LOCATION
The South Cove Sailing Basin seawall is located south of the Bay Trail running in front of Cal Sailing and Cal Adventure Clubs.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The City of Berkeley is conducting a study on repair options for the seawall located at the base of the Bay Trail in front of Cal Sailing and Cal Adventure Clubs. The seawall is a retaining wall supporting up the space south of the clubs and is in disrepair. Failure of this structure would result in closure of this entire area including boat hoists and gangways. This study will explore and determine the best repair option and begin permitting procedures to get the project shovel ready in advance of construction funds.
