PROJECT LOCATION

The South Cove West Parking lot is located on the south side of University Ave at the Berkeley Waterfront in front of the Cal Sailing and Cal Adventures Clubs.

WHAT'S HAPPENING

The South Cove West Parking lot was reopened to the public on April 2, 2026 after a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by staff, members of the granting agency (California Coastal Commission), and the public. The parking lot is performing well, staff have already seen increased circulation on busy weekends, and the bioretention plants are becoming established in advance of the rainy season. Please be aware of signs at the parking lot entrances advertising hours of the lots.
