WHAT'S HAPPENING
This is a Measure T1 Phase 2 project.
The Tom Bates Regional Sports Complex is considered to be the most highly used fields in the region. The recently replaced artificial fields provide up to 300,000 players and serves approximately 19,000 youth and adults annually.
This project will construct much-needed facilities and improvements that the site currently lacks, including restrooms and meeting spaces. Improvements to the Tom Bates Regional Sports Complex will include:
- Fieldhouse Building with 5 restroom stalls (3 ADA accessible), a multiuse room and storage
- 3 to 8 pickleball courts
- Youth grass soccer field
- New entrance at south end of existing parking lot, which include stairs and an ADA accessible ramp
- Outdoor plaza and other open spaces with benches and shades
- Landscaping and irrigation
The project is currently in the bidding phase. Construction is anticipated to begin by end of 2025 and be completed by early 2027.
