Plan ahead: guidelines and accommodation requests
To ensure a smooth experience, please plan ahead and arrive at least 30 minutes before the movie starts. Limited street parking is available, so we encourage you to take public transit or bike. If you do drive, please park responsibly and avoid blocking nearby driveways.
For comfort, bring blankets, sleeping bags, or low-back beach chairs (maximum height: 9 inches) to avoid blocking the view of others. A flashlight or headlamp will be helpful when leaving at night. Please note that these events are alcohol-free.
If you require an accommodation, reach out to Ginsi Bryant at gbryant@berkeleyca.gov or call or text (510) 926-2585 at least two days prior to the movie date. City staff will assist you with your request.
The City's Parks, Recreation, and Waterfront Department organizes a range of events, including Movies in the Park, as part of its commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring access to a diverse community. In addition to dozens of camps, classes, and activities for all ages, the department also curates a wide range of Berkeley events. Explore the Recreation Division's offerings through our online registration portal for a glimpse of what's available.
