Come to an online community workshop and tell us what you’d like to see funded with more than $50 million in voter-approved bond dollars targeted for improving the City’s streets, sidewalks, parks, community centers, and other facilities.
We’re hosting these virtual workshops every Thursday in October to gather input on how to spend remaining funds from Measure T1, a 2016 ballot measure that provided $100 million to upgrade Berkeley’s infrastructure.

Do you want to see more lighting in parks? New amenities? Athletic equipment? Better bike paths? More street paving? Share your vision at an upcoming community meeting.
To ensure improvements are equitably distributed throughout Berkeley, each workshop will focus on potential projects within a specific geographic area.
All meetings start at 6:30pm and will be held on Zoom:

These meetings continue a community input process that started in January, at joint meeting of the Public Works and Parks & Waterfront Commissions. Since then, we've gathered more ideas at over twenty small meetings with neighborhood groups and community stakeholders during the spring and summer.
The Public Works and Parks & Waterfront Commissions will review the proposed projects at joint meetings on November 4th and 18th. Their recommendations will then advance to City Council, who will determine final list of Phase 2 projects this winter.
45 Measure T1 projects already completed or underway
Since voters approved $100 million in Measure T1 funding four years ago, eighteen infrastructure projects have already been completed, with another twenty-seven in progress. A few projects residents are already enjoying include:
- new protected bike lanes, bus boarding islands, and high visibility crosswalks on a repaved Adeline Street
- replacement of worn out fields with safer, more durable turf at the Tom Bates Regional Sports Complex, used by 19,000 people every year
- renovated play structures at George Florence Park
Several more high-profile projects are on track to be completed by the end of the year, including seismic upgrades and interior renovations at the Live Oak Community Center and Adult Mental Health Services Center, and the San Pablo Park playground and tennis courts.
