Berkeley Marina Selective Timber Pile Replacement Project

The City of Berkeley is soliciting invitations for bid for Berkeley Marina Selective Timber Pile Replacement Project. The work done under these Plans and Specifications includes but is not limited to: mobilization; traffic control; demolish, removal, off-hauling and disposal of treated timber piles and pile guides; furnishing and installing precast concrete piles, pile guides and pile caps; furnishing and installing fiberglass jacket system in place to repair existing treated timber pile; and other site furnishings, including ancillary work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.

Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting:
11:00 am, Wednesday, February 1, 2023
Bidders are to meet in front of the Marina Office located at 201 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94710.

The specifications and selection process are summarized in this invitation for bid (IFB). Bids must be received no later than 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023. All responses must be in a sealed envelope and have “Berkeley Marina Selective Timber Pile Replacement Project” and “Specification No. 23-11567-C” clearly marked on the outermost mailing envelope. Please submit one (1) unbound original and one (1) copy of the bid as follows:

No bids will be accepted after the date and time stated above. Submittal of response by fax is NOT acceptable. Incomplete bids and bids which do not conform to the requirements specified herein, will not be considered. Issuance of the IFB does not obligate the City to award a contract, nor is the City liable for any costs incurred by the bidder in the preparation and submittal of bids for the subject work. The City retains the right to award all or parts of this contract to several bidders, to not select any bidders, and/or to re-solicit proposals. The act of submitting a bid is a declaration that the bidder has read the IFB and understands all the requirements and conditions.
