PROJECT LOCATION
Work for this project will be carried out in three (3) phases:

- Phase 2 – Wildcat Canyon Rd between Sunset Ln and Park Hills Rd
- Phase 3 – Wildcat Canyon Rd between Park Hills Rd and Anza View Rd
WHAT'S HAPPENING
The City of Berkeley Public Works Department will be performing drainage improvements along the entire stretch of Wildcat Canyon Road within city limits. The project scope includes rehabilitating storm culverts, replacing drainage inlet structures, installing energy dissipation at culvert outfalls, slide repairs, and slope stabilization.
Wildcat Canyon Road has a long history of landslides and erosion, leading to numerous emergency repairs over the years. This project is designed to improve the roadway’s resilience to such hazards, prevent sinkhole formation caused by failing culverts, and enhance safety for both the public and emergency service vehicles.
Timeline
Construction is tentatively expected to begin early 2026 and take approximately 4-6 months to complete depending on weather or unforeseen conditions.
