Park your car or bike at one of the City of Berkeley’s four parking facilities, located in the Downtown, Southside, and Elmwood neighborhoods.
New parking garage rates coming April 1, 2026
Refer to page 18 in the January 27, 2026 City Council staff report for the new rates.
The City of Berkeley owns three parking garages in the Downtown and Southside neighborhoods. The City also owns an off-street parking lot in the Elmwood neighborhood. All parking garages are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
If you have a disabled parking placard or license plate, learn how to sign up for free parking at any City-owned facility.
Center Street Parking Garage
Location: 2025 Center Street, Downtown Berkeley
Available parking:
- 720 parking spaces
- 20 electric vehicle charging spaces (EV charging rates)
- 350 bicycle spaces at the attached BikeHub station
Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 5:15 am to 1:00 am
- Saturday: 7:00 am to 1:00 am
- Sunday: 12:00 pm to 12:00 am

Notes: Reserve a parking spot in advance by using the Parkmobile app. You can sign up for monthly parking with the Center Street Garage. Monthly parking at the Center Street Garage is $250/month.

Oxford Parking Garage
Location: 2165 Kittredge Street, Downtown Berkeley

- Bicycle parking in the north section of the garage

Hours: Payment required Monday-Saturday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pricing: $2 per hour with a 3-hour time limit
