Join us for a family-friendly celebration of the recently completed capital projects at the Berkeley Waterfront.
Learn about the recently completed D and E docks and marina dredging projects, meet community organizations and businesses that connect people with the Bay, and explore the recreational opportunities that the Waterfront has to offer.
These improvements are part of the City of Berkeley’s commitment to provide state-of-the-art, well-maintained infrastructure, amenities, and facilities for the community.
During the Waterfront Showcase, attendees can:
- Attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the following completed projects:
- D and E Docks
- Marina Dredging
- Electric vehicle charging stations at the Doubletree Hotel
- Take a guided tour of the D and E Docks, with a chance to peek inside boats.
- Learn about boater amenities and how to rent a slip at the Berkeley Marina.
- Meet Waterfront community organizations and businesses.
- Bring kids to the Kids Zone for playtime and Bay-themed arts and crafts.
The event will start at the Doubletree Hotel’s patio. Light refreshments will be served. The schedule will be posted closer to the event date. Check back on this event page for updates.
Plan Your Transportation to the Waterfront
Attendees arriving by car can park for free at the D and E parking lot.
The Doubletree Hotel can also be reached by bus through AC Transit Line 51B. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the University Avenue and Marina Boulevard bus stop.
A Bay Wheels/Lyft bike rack is available for bikeshare drop off and pick up at the J and K parking lot on University Avenue.
Free 4-hour day slips are available for boaters visiting the Waterfront. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To check availability, contact the Berkeley Marina Office at (510) 981-6740 or marina@berkeleyca.gov.
