We built an entirely new website from scratch that’s dedicated to helping you, our Berkeley community, find and take advantage of the unique breadth of services we offer.
You told us it was hard to find information on a cluttered, outdated site that didn’t reflect how people use the web. So we re-worked virtually every piece of our digital home.
We improved navigation, created a modern look, and designed every page to prioritize key information for any device. We re-wrote every page for accuracy, clarity, and efficient web reading.
We want this site to continue building trust, so we created a process for maintenance to ensure that this is a space where our relationship continues to grow.

Use our site to find events that build community, invite engagement with the legislative process, or give your kids chances to play. You can quickly learn how to prepare for wildfires, get a COVID-19 test, or sign up for a free mental health app.

Key transactions easier to accomplish
Our report & pay tool allows you to find and accomplish key transactions quickly.
The tool guides you to our most common tasks, such as paying a bill, applying for an event permit, requesting public records, reporting graffiti, and more.
For many of the issues that people want to report, such as a missed garbage pickup or a pothole, we’ve created forms to ease online reporting, including on a smartphone.

Our grounding principle is that by making information easy to understand and accessible to people of all abilities, we improve access to all.
This site represents thousands of pieces brought together. Almost every word, image, form, or graphic is new. It may take time for you to get used to. Pages are organized differently.
