Use online forum designed for civility
Use the City of Berkeley's online forum to weigh in on whether the City Council should adopt an ordinance that would prohibit landlords from denying rental housing applications based on a prospective tenant’s criminal history.
Under the proposed ordinance, Berkeley landlords would not be allowed to require disclosure of criminal history on housing applications, have a policy that automatically excludes people with criminal histories, or take adverse action against an applicant or tenant based on their criminal history.
