We’re excited to share several important improvements at the Berkeley Waterfront!
Renovations at the South Cove West Parking Lot include the installation of a new storm water treatment system, along with enhanced safety features designed to significantly improve both vehicle and pedestrian circulation. These upgrades include new traffic islands, wheel stops, safety striping, and updated signage to create a safer and more accessible environment for everyone.
At the South Cove East Dock, critical pier piling repairs have restored the structural integrity of the timber piles, strengthening the dock and allowing it to safely reopen to recreational users.
The South Cove Middle Dock ADA gangway float, originally repaired in 2024, sustained irreparable damage during recent storm events and was closed in late 2024. We’re pleased to report that a new replacement float was installed in December 2025, and the Middle ADA Dock has now reopened to the public.
We look forward to celebrating these improvements with residents and visitors at the Berkeley Waterfront and continuing to enhance this special community space for all to enjoy.
