Creating a healthier Berkeley
This event is one of the many classes, activities, and other events organized year-round by the City's Public Health Division. Other upcoming events include weekly free yoga classes and an Emergency Preparedness Fair on April 18.
The City of Berkeley Public Health Division strives to achieve health equity within the community by providing comprehensive services that support individuals across all stages of life. The division’s programs include the Immunization Clinic, WIC, Berkeley Black Infant Health, the Fatherhood Initiative, Parents as Teachers home visiting program, and school-based health centers at Berkeley High School and Berkeley Tech.
The recently completed Community Health Improvement Plan identifies reducing disparities in health outcomes for people living in South and West Berkeley as a key component of improving health equity in Berkeley. The West Berkeley Family Wellness Center brings a suite of health resources directly to a neighborhood of highest need. In addition to health resources, the Center offers a hub for community connections, culturally-responsive programming, and community safety.
Come out to the West Berkeley Family Wellness Center on April 10. Enjoy an afternoon with community while connecting to services to support your family’s health and wellbeing.
