West Berkeley Service Center Improvement Project

The City of Berkeley invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the West Berkeley Service Center Improvement Project.

Addenda:
Addendum 1 – February 20, 2024.

Addendum 2 – February 26, 2024.

Addendum 3 – March 1, 2024.

 

Bids will be received at the General Services Division of the Finance Department of the City of Berkeley, 2180 Milvia Street, 3rd Floor, Berkeley, CA 94704 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

The Engineer’s estimate for the work is $945,000.

Scope of Work:

This project encompasses the renovation of an existing, 9,836 square foot, one-story, Type-V, non-rated, wood-framed building located at 1900 Sixth Street.

The project includes, but is not limited to:

- New roofing installation.
- Upgraded electrical distribution system.
- Mechanical systems upgrade for new restroom configuration.
- Minor interior modifications for electrical and mechanical installations.
- Removal of existing fireplace.
- Construction of new exterior porch structure.
- Expansion of exterior storage enclosure.

The contractor will be responsible for preparing all areas for new scope of work, including patching and repairing existing conditions affected by any demolition work.

Submission Details:

Bids must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised to review these documents thoroughly before submitting their bid.
