Summer Lunch Program

Children 18 and younger can pick up a free lunch and snack at several locations in Berkeley throughout the summer.

Children who are 18 years old or younger are invited to eat free in Berkeley. The City of Berkeley, in collaboration with the State of California Department of Education, will offer free summer lunches and snacks to all Berkeley children at locations across the city.

FREE LUNCH OFFERED JUNE 8–July 31, 2026

No program June 19 and July 3. 

Note: All meals must be eaten on site.

Frances Albrier Community Center, 2800 Park Street
Lunch served 11:30 am–12:30 pm
Snack served 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
Meals will be served by the side of the building next to play structure.

West Campus Pool, 2100 Browning Street
Lunch served 11:30 am–12:30 pm
Snack served 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
Meals will be served behind the gate entrance to the pool.

Strawberry Creek Park, 1255 Allston Way
Lunch served 11:30 am–12:30 pm     
Snack served 2:00 pm–3:00 pm
Meals will be served by the play structure.

MLK Youth Services Center/YAP, 1730 Oregon Street
Lunch served 11:30 am–12:30 pm
Snack served 3:00 pm–4:00 pm
Meals will be served at the basketball court.

The Berkeley Public Library will also offer free lunch to youth this summer. Please visit the library website for more information.

NOTE:
